Yvonne E. Myers, age 83, resident of Willard, passed away Sat., May 15, 2004 at her home. She was born on August 29, 1920 to the late William and Tressa (Dawson) Holzhauer and had been a resident of Willard all of her life. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Willard and was a member of the Willard Moose Lodge and the Willard American Legion. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed puzzles and bingo.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Simon W. and Imogene Myers of Chattanooga, TN, George R. Myers of Willard, Richard A. and Elsie Myers of Willard and David R. Myers of Attica; three daughters, Ruth A. Trushel of Willard, Dianne S. Myers of Willard and Patricia M. “Pat” Myers of Willard; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Simon I. Myers, Oct. 21, 1991, married Feb. 11, 1939; her sister, Almeda Ackerman, Sept. 2002; son-in-law, Robert Trushel, March 12, 2004; her parents, William and Tressa (Dawson) Holzhauer; and one infant sister, Velma.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-5 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Ken Gifford officiating.
