Katherine B. Jacobs, age 87, a resident of Britthaven Nursing Home, Somerset, Kentucky went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 after an extended illness. She died peacefully under the excellent care of Hospice of Lake Cumberland, KY.
She was born on March 21, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY, the only daughter of the late Martin John Kruger and Gertrude (Niehoff) Kruger. She was a housewife and a loving mother. She has been a member and past-president of the Auxillary at Erhert Post #432 American Legion in Plymouth, Ohio She was a longtime member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Willard.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Jo (Ryan) and Fred Walton of Willard; one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Gregory A. Ryan and Mary Ann Ryan of Somerset, KY; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Chad Eitle and Kristen Walton of Willard; two great grandsons, David Eitle and Kaleb Walton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James John Ryan and husband, Ami Jacobs; a daughter, Trudy Ryan; one brother, John Henry Kruger.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM where the funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM with Reverend Richard Jueckstock, Reverend Bart McKelvey and Dr. Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. In Lieu of flowers, memorial expressions can be made to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Dr., Somerset, KY 42503 or the Memorial Building Fund of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Willard, Ohio.
