Kathryn E. Slessman, age 77, of Willard, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 27, 1940 in New Haven Township to the late Robert and Ruby (Heitchler) Cole. She was a lifetime member of the New Haven United Methodist Church in New Haven, Ohio and the president of the Livewires Group of the church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and most of all dedicating her time to her family.
She is survived by four daughters, Connie (Dean) Albright of Willard, Carol (Collin) Garner of Norwalk, Brenda (Daniel) Barnett of Midland, GA and Patricia ( Mark) Pennewitt of Wilmington, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, Michelle Albright, Justin (Molly) Albright, Allyson Barnett, Deanna Pennewitt, Emily (Tristan) Steinmann, Crystal Pennewitt, Monica Pennewitt and Patrick Barnett; 3 great grandchildren, Aurora Rice, Ryder Rice and Magnolia Rae Steinmann; sister, Shirley Riedlinger of Plymouth and a brother, Tom (Sandy) Cole of Shiloh; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Slessman who passed away September 8, 2008; parents, Robert and Ruby Cole; 3 brothers, Mike, Robert and James Cole.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio where the funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim McCollum officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or to the donor's choice.
