Kathryn L. Stancel, age 87 resident of Shelby, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born on May 21, 1921 in Marion, Ohio to the late William and Madelean (McClain) Predmore. She was a 1939 graduate of Plymouth High School and had live in the Eylria area from 1948 until moving to Shelby in 1994. Mrs. Stancel had been employed with the Bendix Corporation in Eylria and retired from Moen Corporation in Eylria. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Shelby and various groups in the church. She was also a member of the UAW and Eastern Stars in Eylria.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Linn of Shelby; and Judith (Wayne) Walls of Columbus; five granddaughters, Nita Linn of Shelby; Cheryl Ruckman of Shelby; Lynda (Michael) Cramer of Columbus; Dianna (James) Grunkemeyer of Westerville; Regina (Brian) Spain of Michigan; three grandsons, Lee (Arlene) Linn of Galion; Jerry Linn of Shelby; Forrest (Diane) Newberry of Columbus; five great granddaughters and five great grandsons; a sister, June Jamison of Willard; a brother, James (Fran) Predmore of Willard.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, George Stancel in 1982; three brothers, Gerald, Dale and Leland Predmore.
Friends may call at the Secor Funearl Home in Plymouth on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth with Reverend Steven C. Bond officiating.
