Kathryn M. Forster, age 90, resident of North Auburn, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 in the Willows at Willard Nursing Home. She was born on December 13, 1923 in North Auburn, Ohio to the late Roma and Josephine (Burger) Karl and had been a life long resident. She was a graduate of NewWashington High School and later attended the Oberlin Business College. Mrs. Forster was a lifetime member of the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn and member of the Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, camping and traveling. She had been employed with Ohio Steel Tube in Shelby and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Daniel (Catherine) Forster of Mansfield; Carolyn (Allan) Lickfelt of Bellevue; Paul (Barbara) Forster of New Washington; Mary (Daniel) Bauer of Sandusky; Pamela (Gregory) Magers of Howard; and Robert “Robbie” Forster, Jr. of Bucyrus; a sister, Mary Ellen (Lee) Kreft of Toledo, OH; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Forster of Sandusky; and Theresa Karl of Tiro; one brother-in-law, Fr. Francis Forster of Belmont Abby, NC; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Forster in 2012; an infant daughter, Laura Forster; one sister, Margaret Lang; and four brothers, Vincent, Robert, Louis and Edward Karl.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM with funeral mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn with Father Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow in Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky or the St. Bernard’s Endowment Fund.
