Katie Lynn (Ware) Dials of Worthington, Ohio, formerly of Willard, age 35, died peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Jason Dials with whom she just celebrated their fourteenth wedding anniversary. Born March 17, 1976, she was the daughter of her proud and loving parents Stan and Jolynn Ware. Katie loved so dearly her precious children, Abigail Lynn, Kennedy Eris and Isabelle Grace. Being a mother to these beautiful three girls was the joy in her life. Besides her husband, parents and children, she is survived by her sister Sarah Ware Swisher (her brother-in-law Brian and her niece and nephew Emily and Colin); her brother Andrew Ware; and her mother-and father-in-law, Hargus and Gracie Dials. She also leaves many other beloved family including brother-in-laws and their families, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Iris Joyce and Howard and Jane Ware. Katie will be forever cherished for her love for all those around her. It was so easy to talk to her and to laugh with her. Our darling wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend… you will be so sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held for Katie at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, Ohio on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Father Eric Culler officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to First Merit Bank in care of the college fund for Abbey, Kennedy and Isabelle Dials. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

I was shocked to here the news of Katie’s passing. I remember Katie best from 5th to 12th grade, where we were still children but tried so hard to act like adults. All my first-time mischievous activities, I never experienced alone. Katie was right there with me. My first taste of alcohol came from her parents bar in the basement, my first cigarette stolen from Jolynn’s cigarette case; this list could go on and on but I don’t want to give away all our secrets. She was strong, fearless, funny, and a great friend. These are memories I reference more and more as my three daughters become adolescent, which has only enhanced my parenting skills. I guess, what I really want to say is…Thank you Katie, for being such a key part of my life and that it saddens me that it was so short. My heart goes out to the whole Ware and Dial’s families.

Our family would like to convey our sympathy at the loss of your mother, wife, daughter and sister. Katie will truly be missed, and the world will be a more drab now that she is not in it. There is no one that could light up a room with her laughter, or her smile like Katie. She was loved by everyone who came in contact with her. And one glance would tell you what a wonderful mother she was to the lights of her life. My heart is breaking.
