Kenneth H. Cox, age 85, resident of Willard, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in Roselawn Manor in Spencerville, Ohio. He was born on July 23, 1922 in Willard, Ohio to the late James Henry and Dallie (Stump) Cox. He retired from the B&O Railroad after 42 years. He was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Willard and a member of the Willard American Legion. He was a life long supporter of the Willard Athletic Boosters. Mr. Cox was an avid gardener especially of his rose garden.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David (Linda) Cox of Fort Wayne, IN; his daughter and son-in-law, Judy (Steve) Johnson of Troy, Ohio; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Cox on July 28, 1994; his parents; three brothers; and a sister.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ken Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
