Thomas C. Bissell, age 60, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away unexpectly on Saturday, February 9, 2008 in Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on July 19, 1947 in Mt. Olive, Ohio and has been a Willard resident the majority of his life. Tom has been employeed with Mayflower Vehicle Systems in Norwalk for over 40 years. He is a member of the Guinea Corners Church and the Attica Masonic Lodge #367 F & AM. Tom enjoyed going to flea markets and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Briggs) Bissell whom he married on March 19, 1966; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Fred Taylor of New Haven; two granddaughters, Casey and Savannah Taylor; his mother, Mildred (Price) Bissell of Belpre, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, George and Beth Bissell of New Haven; one sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Dale Welsh of Belpre, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Bissell and a brother, Elber Bissell.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Velman Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Willard has lost a wonderful person. Met Tom when I worked at the New haven post office. Have known the family for many years. My heart goes out to the family during this sad time.
