Linda L. (Bolen) McCrea, age 54, resident of Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at MedCentral Shelby Hospital in Shelby, Ohio. She was born on March 6, 1962 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Ford Bolen and Mildred (Wheeler) Lee. Linda was a postal carrier for the Shelby Post Office and attended the Shelby First Freewill Baptist Church. She loved music, flea markets and most of all her grandchildren.
Linda was a strong woman and served as a source of strength for her family. When everything was falling apart, she would hold it together. As strong and steady as she was softhearted and kind, she always remained a constant in the lives of those who loved her.
She was an ever-present source of honest advice, witty comebacks, tough love and her one of a kind humor. When all else failed, she could turn anything into an opportunity to laugh. This helped her get through many trials in her own life and she kept that beautiful smile until the end.
Linda was selfless and was always putting the needs of others before her own. There was never a time that she was not trying to help someone, especially those she loved. Her kindness was immeasurable and her love knew no limits. Her giving nature will be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughter, Apryl (Paul Jr.) Kingman of Mansfield; 2 step-children she raised as her own, Jenny Wilson of Mansfield and Ron McCrea of Mansfield; 5 grandchildren, Nadia and Danika Kingman, Aaron Munsil, Abrianna Thornton and Max Wigton; mother, Mildred (Wheeler) Lee of Shiloh; sister, Barb (Van) Bentley of Jackson, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ford Bolen, sister, Brenda Sue (Bolen) Crouse, and her faithful dog, Bub.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM where a funeral service will be at 1:00 PM officiated by Rev. Herman Copley.
