Lyda Castle, age 92, resident of Mansfield, passed on to await her rewards on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in Mifflin Care Center in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born on April 27, 1915 in Thacker, West Virginia to the late Charley and Purmela (Fletcher) Cole. She was a precious loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all.
She is survived by two sons, Rebel D. Cornett of Marion and James E. Cornett of North Glen, Colorado; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma J. Renz of Mansfield; three step sons, Willis R. Castle of Plymouth, Jay F. Castle of Ashland and Ellis R. Castle of Mansfield; two step daughters, Mrs. Lou Ellen Wright of Ashland, KY and Mrs. Eleta Williams of New Carlisle, OH; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jess J. Cornett and her second husband, Rell Castle; her parents, Charley and Purmela (Fletcher) Cole; four sisters; four brothers; three grandchildren, Christopher, David and Pamela Cornett; and a daughter-in-law, Lucy Cornett.
No calling hours will be observed. Funeral services will be held at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Noon with Rev. Velman Sexton and Rev.
