Marcella H. Babcock, age 82, resident of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Mansfield Memorial Homes. She was born on December 23, 1923 in Monroeville, Ohio to the late John P. and Rose G. (Fritz) Bannworth and had been a resident of Plymouth all of her married life. She was a cook for the MSC Center in Mansfield for 18 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth, The American Legion Auxillary in Plymouth Post 447 and the 55 Plus Club in Plymouth.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine (Cathy) Babcock of Plymouth; brother, Edwin W. and Helen Bannworth of Willard; sister-in-law, Ida Mae FitzGerald of Shelby; nieces and nephews; and special friends of Lucky Larry Dance in Mansfield. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Doc” Babcock on March 17, 1990 and whom she wed on April 11, 1953; her parents; and two nieces.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 4-8 PM., where there will be a paryer service at 8:00 P.M. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 30, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Plymouth at 11:00 AM with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joesph Catholic Cemetery in Willard.
