Marie Shepherd, age 75, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born December 8, 1934 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Jim and Lola (Howard) Shepherd.
Marie was a friend to anyone she met and never forgot that friend’s face. She was never without a smile and a sparkle in her eyes.
She is survived by three sisters, Cleo (Lawrence) Cowgill of Rives Junction, MI, Lonnie Swope (and companion, Franklin Helton) of Rives Juction, MI; and Bonnie (Richard) Sackman of Rives Junction, MI; two brothers, Claude (Sharon) Shepherd of Stoutsville, OH; and Kanawha (Vickie) Shepherd of Rives Junction, MI; two sisters-in-law, Anna Shepherd of Willard; and Pat Shepherd of Fennville, MI; one brother-in-law, Henry Hicks of Willard and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charlie and Clinton Shepherd; two sisters, Catherine Prater and Mabel Hicks; two infant siblings, Anna and Clyde Shepherd.
A private service will be held with the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. Burial will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

Sorry for your loss of Marie. I remember visiting Mabel and Marie with my mom, Mazie. Marie always remembered us and had that sweet smile. She is happy in heaven with her family there.
The children from our church visited with Marie the Sunday before she passed on. She was thrilled with their singing. She was such a happy person. Our prayers are with your family.
