Mariella M. “Millie” Gordon, age 76, resident of Plymouth passed away on Monday, March 27, 2006 in Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1930 in Wellington, Ohio to the late Hildreth and Verda (Finkel) Elliott and had been a Willard area resident since the 1950’s. She was a 1949 graduate of Sullivan High School and retired in 1994 as head cook at the Willard Junior High School. She was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Gordon who she married on June 17, 1949; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Valerie Gordon of Stilwell, KS; Todd Gordon of Mercedes, TX; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jody and Jim Kolb of Sumter, SC; Patti Gordon of Williston, SC; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Filson Elliott of Findlay, OH; Chester Elliott of Warsaw, IN; one sister, Lois Nixon of Clearwater, FL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlos and Delbert Elliott.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 30th at the New Haven United Methodist Church with Reverend Lynda Master officiating. No calling hours will be observed.
