Marion Louise Devlin, age 73, resident of New Haven, OH, beloved wife and mother, passed away Monday, August 9th, 2004 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. She was born on April 25, 1931 in New Haven, OH, to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Burns) Diehl and had been a resident of New Haven, OH most of her life. She was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Willard, OH and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, OH. She also worked at Drug-Mart in Willard, OH for 12 years.
She is survived in life by her husband, Myles J. Devlin of New Haven, OH; two daughters, Carol A. Bailey of Columbus, OH and Diane S. Hoffman of Ashland, OH; four sons, Thomas E. Devlin of Willard, OH, John J. Devlin of Winston-Salem, NC, Robert M. Devlin of New Haven, OH and Daniel J. Devlin of Westfield, NJ; 12 grandchildren, Christopher Bailey of Plymouth, OH, Laura Slater of Honolulu, HI, Holly Hutchins of Ashland, OH, Nicholas Hoffman of Ashland, OH, Ryan, Sean, Eric, Ericka and Katlin Devlin of Willard, OH, and Emily, Andrew and Jacob Devlin of New Haven, OH; three great grandchildren, Kylie Hutchins of Ashland, OH, Bailey and Nathan Slater of Honolulu, HI; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy (Burns) Diehl; her sister, Carol Jean Myers; her brother, Joe Diehl; and her daughter-in-law, Lisa Devlin.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, OH with Fr. Melvin Verhoff officating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, OH. Memorials may be made to the Willard Mercy Hospital.
