Martha C. Forster, age 83, formerly of Willard, passed away Friday, January 2, 2009, at the St. Francis Home in Tiffin, Ohio. She was born April 6, 1925 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Frank and Clara (Pifher) Wechter and had been a Willard resident her entire married life. She retired in 1985 from the Pioneer Career Center in Shelby where she was a cook. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, camping and wintering in Florida with her late husband, Gene.
She is survived by 5 daughters, Jean Forster of St Paul, MN, Donna (Kenneth) Hay of Willard, Patricia (James) Butler of Toledo, Mary (William) Roberts of Groton, NY, Marjorie (Thomas) Cox of Manchester CT; 3 sons, Thomas (Linda) of Bloomfield, NY, Kenneth of Cornelius, NC, Charles (Joan Jacobs) of Yakima, WA; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Frank (Barb) Wechter of Norwalk.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. Forster in 2006; four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, Ohio or the Sisters of St. Francis in Tiffin, Ohio.
