Mary Jane Costein, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 passing at the Fisher Titus Hospital in Norwalk after a short illness. She was born Jan. 23, 1916 at Chicago Jct., Ohio to the late John & Anna (Cracium) Flucsa.
She was a graduate of Willard High School Class of 1933 and married John I. Costein April 23, 1939.
Mary worked at Costein’s Restaurant in Willard and was a secretary for Latham N. Benedict’s Insurance Office in Willard. She worked for 20 years at Midwest Industries in Willard as a administrative Assistant retiring in 1982.
She was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Church and Catholic Ladies of Columbia; Willard Americian Legion Aux. #514 and V.F.W. Aux. #3430.
She is preceded in death along with her parents, her husband, John I. Costein in 2003, a brother John Flucsa Jr., a sister Anna Pascu, and three infant brothers.
She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor (Lenna) & Chuck Arnold Jr. of Willard; sisters-in-law, Helen Popa, Jane Costein, and Pauline Costein; brother-in-law, Ike Costein; and sveral nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, May 4, 2006 from 6-8 PM. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating.
