Mary Lou Hiler, age 72, resident of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 27, 1940 in Willard, Ohio to the late Norman and Helen (Hankammer) Britton and had been a New Washington resident the majority of her life. She was a 1958 graduate of Willard High School. Mrs. Hiler was a co-owner of Hiler Farms and a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, a 4-H Club advisor of the North Auburn Hustlers, and she enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking and flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Karl J. Hiler whom she married on June 1, 1963; two sons, Scott K. Hiler and Randy J. (Heather) Hiler both of New Washington; four grandchildren, Christopher Hiler; Shelbee (Nicholas) Ramirez; Michaela and Monica McKinniss all of New Washington; a brother, Terry (Barbara) Britton of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one infant sister and infant triplet daughters, Mary Lou, Mary Helen and Mary Ann. .
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio. The funeral mass will be on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington, with Fr. Mike Diemer officiating. Burial will be at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Bernard School Endowment Fund.
