Mary E. Pflieger, age 56, resident of New Washington, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at her home. She was born on April 12, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Frances (Percival) Rist and had been a resident of New Washington, Ohio since 1990. She was a 1969 graduate of Bucyrus High School in Bucyrus, Ohio. She was a member of the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington; she loved Father Bob. Her favorites were; shopping, dancing, the color pink, Spongebob, pug dogs, Halloween and collecting penguins and gingerbreads. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and a very good cook.
She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Pflieger, whom she wed on June 3, 1989; her ex-husband, Dick and Patricia Wyeth of Nevada, OH; her son, Andrew B. Wyeth of Nevada, OH; her daughter and son-in-law, Danielle L. and Eric Wagenblast of Prospect; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Ann Pflieger of New Washington; two sisters and brother-in-law, Judy and John Wiparina of Bucyrus and Kathy Pfeifer of Bucyrus; four brothers-in-law, Tom Pflieger of Columbus, Dean and Denise Pflieger of Troy, OH, John and Stephanie Pflieger of Wisconsin, and Dave and Michelle Pflieger of Tiffin; eight nieces and nephews, Sheilia and Steve Groves of Tiro, Ed and Kari Pfeifer of Crestline, Tiffany and Craig Hill of Marion, John Wiparina of Bucyrus, Melissa Wiparina of Bucyrus, Dominic Wiparina of Bucyrus; Lindsay Pflieger of Troy and Tyler Pflieger of Troy; and five great nieces; 3 grand-dogs and 1 grand-cat.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister and a sister (Debbie Rist); 2 daughters, Kristy Wyeth and Nicole (Twin of Danielle) Wyeth; her loving pets Tweetsie the siamese cat, and Puggy and Taffy her pug dogs.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Father Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the Americian Cancer Society or to the St. Bernard’s Catholic Endownment Fund.
