Mitchell “Mitch” Conley, age 77, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on August 25, 1948, in Garrett, Kentucky, to the late Lee and Pearlie (Hunter) Conley. Mitch proudly served in the U.S. Army. He retired from R.R. Donnelley and Sons in Willard after over 40 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed golf, playing darts and pool, and gardening. He always had a camera in his hands and was known for his “best ever” peanut butter fudge. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deb (Gibson) Conley; children, Tori (Jeremy) McConoughey of Lagrange, Ohio and Chad (Kylie) Conley of Plymouth, Ohio; grandchildren, Eli McConoughey, Kait Conley, Grace Ortega, Sam McConoughey, and Barrett Conley; sisters, Gypsie Holida of Willard, Ohio; Gert (Tim) Owens of Greenwich, Ohio; and Brenda (Ed) Adams of Willard, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Conley; his dog, Leo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Harold Conley, Ron Conley, Oscar Conley, Bob Conley, Betty Payne, Bert Maudsley, Earnestine Conley and Buford Conley
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 10:30 AM until the time of his funeral service at 1:30 PM with Pastor Danny Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to High School Veteran Honor Committee.
