Christine A. Schodorf, age 70, of Willard, Ohio passed away after a sudden illness at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo on Monday, June 29, 2026 with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 27, 1956 in Willard, Ohio to the late Cloyce Raymond Dickerson and Mary Louise (Bolen) Slone.
For the past eight years, Chris and Harold spent their winters in Texas, where they cherished escaping the cold and creating lasting memories together. Chris could often be found outdoors, tending to her yard or feeding the local squirrels, deer, and birds. She was always on the go and lived an active life, especially enjoying walks with her beloved dog, JayJay, and spending time with Charlie, the feral cat who found his way from Texas to Ohio. Above all else, Chris was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who never missed an opportunity to support her family. She faithfully attended her grandchildren’s events and was often their trusted chauffeur. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Schodorf who she has been married to for 23 years; her children, Jackie (Jake) Rosso and James (Natasha Miller) Arnold; grandchildren who she loved deeply, Maelyn, Thayer and Wynlee Rosso and James Logan Arnold; step son, Tim Schodorf; siblings, Linda Riggs and William “Doc” Dickerson; sisters-in-law, Susie Bolen and Yvonne Rising; brothers-in-law, Henry (Mary) Schodorf and Tom (Kay) Schodorf; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Brenda (Grant) Dorney and James “Tojo” Bolen.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Secor Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the beginning of her funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Chris Mileski officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Huron County Humane Society. Harold and family I was shocked and heartbroken to hear of Chris's passing. I always enjoyed my visits with her and Harold. Chris was a very loving and caring person and a very hardworking.
