Monroe ‘Greene’ Moore, age 78, resident of Willard passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2006 in the Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on April 4, 1928 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Estil and Rosie (Hackworth) Moore and had been a life long Willard resident. Mr. Moore retiered in 1992 from the Plymouth Locomotive Inc. He was a former member of the Willard Eagles Club and a member of the Willard American Legion.
He is survived by his with of 56 years, Clara (Jones) Moore who he married, Oct. 1, 1949; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Debbie Moore of Harker Heights, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Jimmy Slone of Willard; Joni and David Leitz of Willard; five grandchildren, Jason Moore; Rachel Rice; John D. Leitz; Joseph Leitz and Jerod Leitz; one great grandson, Ian Moore; one brother, Lonnie Moore of Pensacola, FL; four sisters, Betty Lou Biller of Tiffin; Dorothy Downs of Sycamore; Louellen Poole of Willard; Margaret Moore of Willard; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ervin Moore and an infant brother, Henry Moore.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home with Reverend Danny Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
