Naviona (Beverly) Jordan, age 78, resident of Plymouth, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, October 14, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio
She was born on March 12, 1937 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Clenon and Bessie (Slone) Beverly. She worked at Midwest Industries in Willard for 18 years. Then she moved to Ocala, Florida and worked at the Brigadier Trailer Company for eight years, then moving back to Ohio to be with family.
Nay attended the Old Regular Baptist Church, where she loved to hear the singing and preaching of God’s word. Nay loved cooking for her family and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia (Thornsberry) and Russ Scriver; three grandchildren, Russell Kent (Charlene) Scriver , Daniel O’Neal Scriver, and Darron Jess (fiancĂ©’ Tiffany Ruffing) Scriver; two great grandchildren, Seth Kent and Sierra Ann Scriver; six brothers, Lon, Donnie, Carrel, Ellis “Dick” Beverly all of Plymouth, Jim Beverly of Mansfield, and Phillip Beverly of Celeryville; four sisters, Vanda Haymond of Shiloh, Lois Ball, Willa Rachel, and Phyllis Fidler all of Mansfield.
In addition to her parents Nay is preceded in death by her husband, Claudy O’Neal Jordan, and a brother Landis Beverly.
Visitation will be held at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, Ohio on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 1:00 to 6:00 PM where church services will be held at 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the church on Monday at 11:00 AM with Elders, Buddy Carty, Joe Gibson, Phillip and Lon Beverly officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio.
