Nickolas W. Hughes, age 23, of Willard, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Republic. Ohio while enjoying time with his friends, an unfortunate accident occurred. He was born March 18, 1994 in Willard, Ohio and was 2012 graduate of Seneca East High School. Nick was majoring in Computer Information Technology at Tiffin University and employed at the Bellevue Hospital in the IT Department. He was a member of the St. Gaspar del Bufalo and St. Sebastian Catholic Church congregation. Nick enjoyed hiking, camping, music, computers and debating.
He is survived by his mother, Tami (Mike) Billman of Willard; father, Ted (Courtney) Hughes of Clyde; brother, Alekzander Hughes of Willard; sister, Emily Hughes of Willard; paternal grandmother, Linda Veletean of Willard; maternal grandparents, James (Kathleen) Williams of Willard; 5 step brothers, 1 step sister, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Theodore Hughes.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at The Chapel, 156 S. Norwalk Road, Norwalk, Ohio, where the funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Charles Conrad officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery in Bismark, Ohio concluding with a meal will follow at the Bismark Community Center. Dear Hughes Family,
I had Nick in one of my classes at TU – Symbolic Logic – a required course for his major. I remember him well as someone who always did his best. The material in the class was difficult, but he stuck with it and perservered. I am sorry for his passing, and for your loss. God bless you all in this difficult time.
