Otho M. "Mitch" Lilly, age 90, resident of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on June 23, 1929, in Montgomery, West Virginia, to the late Otho and Gladys (Lee) Lilly, Sr. and had been a resident of Plymouth since, 1991.
Mitch proudly served in the United States Army as a Corporal from 1948 - 1952, during the Korean Conflict and had received a Bronze Star for heroism. As a retired plumber at Valley Heating and Plumbing in Valley City, Ohio, he was a member of the Plumber Union #219 for over 50 years. Mitch enjoyed wood working, making custom furniture for family and friends for over 60 years, and liked to bowl and fish.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anna Sue Lilly, whom he married on April 9, 1966; three daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Hunt, Wanda Lilly, and Sandra (Randy) Comer; eight grandchildren, Ellie Hunt, Laura Hunt, Sarah Hunt, Christina Comer, Ricky Comer, Mackenzie Comer, Christopher Comer, Cyndi Comer; a great grandson, Christian Comer; and his precious cat, Lady.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Otho and Gladys (Lee) Lilly; three brothers, Vernon, Phillip and Garland Lilly; and a sister, Ardith Conner.
Family and friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio, on Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Rich Hurles officiating. Burial will follow at Nova Cemetery in Nova, Ohio, where Military rites will be recited. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio.
