Parnell “Whitey” Kennard, age 76, resident of Shiloh, passed away Thursday morning, June 10, 2004 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born on August 11, 1927 in New Haven, Ohio to the late Floyd and Hester (Reed) Kennard and had been a resident of Shiloh most of his life. Mr. Kennard was a retired employee from the Shiloh Corporation in Mansfield. He enjoyed camping and dirt track racing.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Seels of Shiloh; and Vicki Howard of Hindman, KY; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Steve and Sharon Kennard of Shiloh; Larry and Linda Kennard of Shiloh; Doug Kennard of Ottawa, IL; Randy Kennard of Plymouth; Greg and Sheila Kennard of Lexington; 17 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brothers and two sisters-in-laws, Floyd “Red” and June Kennard of Mansfield; Vicki Kennard of Chillicothe, OH; one sister, Hala Toms of Shiloh; and one sister-in-law, Lucille Nelson of Shelby. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel (Dickerson) Kennard in 2001 and one brother Jim Kennard.
Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh with Pastor Earl Sexton officiating. Memorial expressions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Eylria, OH 44035. Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth assisted the family with arrangements.
