Paul Wilbur ‘Windy’ Suver, age 78, died Wednesday, January 17,2007 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Paul was born March 7, 1928 to Hannah and Wilbur Suver in New Washington, Ohio, where he has resided all his life. He worked as a mechanic at Ankney’s Gulf Station for 38 years. Paul served in the
Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 405. He was also a member of the VFW in Norwalk.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann (Rauth) Suver. Paul was the father of 12 children. Seven daughters: Jo Ann (Tim) Young, Nancy (Ralph) Miller, Mary (Robert) Rich, Kathy (Cliff) Heimlich, Chris (Fred) Ernest, Lisa Suver, Missy (Mike) Pagnanelli. Five sons: Mike (Susie), Tom, Tim (Pam), Dan, and Andy Suver. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and 8 great step-grandchildren.
Paul has one brother, Russell (Chut) currently living in Galion. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia (Kenneth) Shealy of New Washington and Robert Suver of Arkansas.
Friends and family may attend a Memorial Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, New Washington, Ohio with Father Robert Dendinger officiating.
