Pokey Jordan, age 64, resident of South Main Street in Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007 with her family by her side. She was born December 16, 1942 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Romaine and Omaha Shepherd and had been a Willard resident since 1979. She was employed at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard and Pioneer Balloon Company in Willard for many years. She is a member of the Faith Builder Church of God in Willard. Pokey loved the Lord and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Jordan Sr. who she married August 4, 1961; two sons, Troy Jordan of North Port, FL; Ralph Jr. and Robyn Jordan of Attica; two daughters, Robin and Thomas Burkhalter of Willard; Joyce Thomas of Willard; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Louellen Pitts of Martin, KY; Christine Robinson of Blue River, KY; four brothers, Edward Lee Shepherd of Blue River, KY; Tony Shepherd of Shiloh; Johnny Shepherd of Shiloh; Joseph Shepherd of Shiloh; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a grandson, Troy Jordan, Jr.; one sister, Osie Shepherd; one brother, Harrison Shepherd.
Friends may call at the Faith Builders Church of God in Willard on Sunday, July 29, 2007 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM, where the funeral services will be held on Monday at 11: 00 AM with Rev. Fred Allen Rowe Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial expressions may be made to the Jordan family in care of the church.
