Ricky A. Hicks, age 66, of New Haven, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at OhioHealth Hospital in Shelby, Ohio. He was born on February 21, 1956 in Willard, Ohio to the late John and Avanel (Vanderpool) Hicks. Ricky was a truck driver, rode motorcycle, enjoyed gardening and cooking, and was a family man who loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Evans) Hicks whom he married on July 2, 2011; children, Jeannie Marie (Scott) Rucki of Crestline, Ohio; Angela (Brett) Leslie of Plymouth, Ohio and Rebecca Hicks (Brad Slone) of New London, Ohio; step children, Bill Edwards, Jamey Edwards, Jason (Brittany) Rose and Stephanie Henson; step-son, Preston Rose, and great granddaughter, Novah; and great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Brown, Peggy Holbrook, Patty Giles, Kathy Armitage and Joni Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Betty Stein and step daughters, Kristy Rose and Stacy Edwards.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice. Online condolences may be to Ricky's family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
