Robert Lee Barnett, age 81, resident of Ft. Pierce, FL, and former resident of the Willard / Plymouth area, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2004 in the Veterans Hospital in Lake City, FL. He was born on September 11, 1923 in Salyersville, KY to the late George and Molly (Patrick) Barnett. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served in WWII and the Korean war. He was the owner and operator of Bob’s Bulldozing and was a minister for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Brown of Ft. Pierce, FL and Sherry Ward of Castalia, OH, two step-daughters, Virginia Hicks of Shelby, OH and Margie Gillam of Castalia, OH; one step-son, Tommy Patton of New York; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lilly Ellen Barnett; his parents, George and Molly (Patrick) Barnett; brothers; and sisters.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Wayside Temple, Castalia, OH with Pastor Lonnie Shambaush officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandhill Cemetery, Groton, Twp. Memorials may be made to the family.
