Verne E. LeSage, age 88, resident of Willard, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. He was born on July 26, 1919 in Milford, IL to the late J. Logan and Clara (Caveny) LeSage. He served in the army during WWII as a B-17 mechanic. He was a postman and a farmer for many years in Plymouth. He was a member of the New Haven Methodist Church and the I.O.O.F. (International Order of Odd Fellows). Most of all he enjoyed his family and watching Willard sporting events.
He is survived by his son, Ron (Rita) LeSage of Plymouth; two granddaughters, Kara (Matt) Reynolds of Aiea, HI. and Amber LeSage of Plymouth.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Clarice E. (Stevens) LeSage; his parents; one son, Donald LeSage; one sister, Eula Rogers; one brother and sister-in-law, Merle and Mary LeSage.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 5-8P.M. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Lynda Masters officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the New Haven United Methodist Church. I just wanted to express my sympathy to all of you during this time and let you know I’ll be thinking of you these next few days. An entire generation of LeSage’s is gone, so it’s a comforting thought to know that the whole family is all together now in Heaven, with the rest of the clan….what a Reunion!
