Robin ‘Rob’ J. Gray, age 45, resident of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 28, 2006 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born on April 26, 1961 in Bucyrus, Ohio and had been a life long resident of New Washington. A 1979 graduate of Buckeye Central High, Rob was employed for 26 years with the Herald Printing Company. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1718. He enjoyed hiking, camping and being outdoors.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Inez (Heydinger) Gray of New Washington; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Steve and Sue Gray of Norwalk; Jim Gray (Jennifer Foreman) of Springfield, OH; Scott Gray (Michele Prusick) of Naples, FL; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Mike Shafer of Kannapolis, NC; nine nieces and nephews, Bryan, Kyle and Josh Gray, Elise, Kelsey and Kailyn Gray, Morgan and Nicholas Shafer, Olivia Foreman; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lowell and Agnes Gray and maternal grandparents, Otto and Josephine Heydinger.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Monday from 6-9 PM. Funeral mass celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with Father Robert Dendinger and Frederick Schill officiating. I am so sorry to hear about Rob’s death all of these years later! I am truly sending my prayers to the family and I am so sorry I didn’t know that he had passed. I remember Rob as a truly great guy who LOVED his nephews and his nephews loved him. A great guy!
