Ronald “Ronnie” E. Hershiser, age 67, resident of Willard, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Willard Healthcare Center. He was born on November 14, 1943 in Willard, Ohio to the late Almon and June (Hart) Hershiser. Ronnie graduated from Willard High School in 1962 and then went on to work at MTD for 39 years. He enjoyed woodworking, telling a joke, gardening and playing in the backyard with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling and watching football.
He is survived by his son, Jeff (Lisa) Hershiser of Tampa, Florida and their children, Madison, Joshua and Jacob; his daughter, Joanie Ebert of Columbus and her children, Jarryd, Jeremy, Jordyn and Allyson; 3 brothers, Marvin, Larry and David Hershiser all of Willard and one sister, Shirley Roeder of Plymouth.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine (Worcester) Hershiser whom he married on October 17, 1964 and one brother, Al Hershiser Jr.
Friends may call on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard with Pastor Jamie Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers, Ron wishes for donations to be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

It was an honor to be invited into Ronnie and Gerri’s home during such an over-whelming time. I have been blessed to get to know them. My prayers are with you.
David and family, so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing, now he and my friend Gerri are together.
They both were wonderful friends of mine and I will forever remember our times together at Willard High School, where we all graduated in 1962.
You and your brother were always class cut-ups and of course Gerri and I were good students and didn’t talk much, ha, ha…
You and I have lots of good memories of them both and that’s what I will cherish most…
