Rose Marie (Babb) Michaels, age 77, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. She was born April 4, 1937 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Dexter Dilly and Genevieve Clementine (Kinn) Babb. She graduated from St.Wendelin High School in Fostoria in 1955. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard. Rose was a bus driver for the Willard Schools and Texas Migrant School, as well as worked at the Friendship Store and KFC Restaurant in Willard. She was an avid hummingbird collector and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by 6 children, John Michaels, Jr. of Findlay, Jill Paramore (John Dye) of Plymouth, Judy (Nick) Kousma of Willard, Jodi (John) Hall of Plymouth, Jeny Lewis of Willard, and Joel Michaels of Willard; grandchildren, Jeremy, Kindra, Ashley, Chelsey, Philip, William, Jacqueline, Jessica, Dillon, Genevieve, Denny Jr., Joshua, Jason and Justin; 19 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jean Weiker, Laura Rowe and Janet King all of Fostoria; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she preceded in death by her husband, John R. Michaels on March 12, 2014; 4 brothers, Don, Vincent, Gerald and Richard; 9 sisters, Dorothy, Alma, Waunita, Geraldine, Wilma, Rita, Millie and infant sister, Mary Elizabeth.
Friends may call at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Rosie was my classmate at St. Wendelin in Fostoria and we walked home from school together. She was a sweet person and I know others of the Class of 1955 would feel the same and will be sad to hear of her passing.
I remember Mrs.Rose as my bus driver for many years and I went to school with Jen. I am sorry for your loss… She was always so nice to me.
I AM VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH ROSE AND WE WERE FRIENDS THEN AND ALSO WHEN SHE MET JOHN. MY FAMILY ALWAYS LIVED CLOSE TO THE MICHAEL’S FAMILY IN TIFFIN.
Rosie is at peace and free of pain!! Many fun times and a lot of laughing when around her. She will be missed but memories never go away. Stay strong and lean on each other. Scott

I want to let all of “Rosie” family know how sorry I was to hear about her passing away yesterday. She was one dear long time friend. We sure had some long talks when things were going wrong & hard for either one of us. It sure helped to have a “friend ” to lean on and talk to. I am sure you all will miss her.

I am so sorry to hear of Rose’s passing. When I worked at the Calico Craft store uptown, she would come in often. What a great person! I’m sure she will be greatly missed by alot of people.
