Ruby May Ryerson, age 95, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2019, at the Willows at Willard. She was born in Plymouth, Ohio, on May 3, 1924, to the late Robert F. and Effie (Sturts) Gilger.

Ruby was a 1943 graduate of Greenwich High School. She was homemaker and also helped her husband on the family farm for many years. She also had been employed at Centaur Tractor in Greenwich, Westinghouse in Norwalk, and many years at the Huron County Fair office. Ruby was also a 71 year member of Athea Chapter #438 Eastern Stars in Monroeville, and For Efficiency Farm Women's Club.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, James Ryerson of McConnelsville, Ohio and Richard (Jan) Ryerson of Plymouth, Ohio; her daughter, Nancy (David) Hicks of North Fairfield, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ben (Kendra) Ryerson of Plymouth, Ohio, Heather (Darrell) Daron of Willard, Ohio, Matt (Mary Ana) Hicks of Vermilion, Ohio, and Dawn (Wayne) Fryback of Ashland, Ohio; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George Ryerson; a brother, John Gilger.

Family and friends may gather at the North Fairfield United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 10, 2019, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, where her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, with The Rev. James M. Ryerson, Vicar of St. Saviour by the River Church, McConnelsville, Ohio officiating. Burial will follow in North Fairfield Cemetery.
