Ruby Sparkman, age 85, resident of Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. She was born on August 6, 1932 in Banner, Kentucky to the late Sam and Ocie (Hall) Cook. Mrs. Sparkman was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, crafts, baking, and spending time with family. A good woman received her wings on Wednesday. There was always room for one more at the dinner table, as Ruby never knew a stranger, and her door was always open to all.

She is survived by three sons, Sam Deskins of Shiloh, Johnie (Cheryl) Deskins of Shiloh, and Roger Deskins of Portsmouth; two daughters, Rose (Ed) Mullins of Mansfield, and Lisa (Rose) McGlothlin of Fitchville; 22 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Cook of Norwalk; and a sister, Velma (Robert) Meade of Lexington, KY; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Sparkman; two sons, De-Wayne Sparkman and Ernie Deskins, a daughter, Juanita Oney; two granddaughters, Zannetta and Shawna Deskins; a great-great granddaughter, Aubree Hout; and three brothers, Travis, Vannis and Dallas Cook.

Visitation will be held at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dan Clouse and Pastor David Montgomery officiating.
