Ruth Ada Cook, age 90, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Crystal Care Nursing and Rehab Center in Mansfield. She was born on September 9, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Floyd and Mary (Elder) Burger. She was a graduate of Canton High School and had worked from home most of her life, taking care of her family.
She is survived by her three sons, Stephen (Beth) Cook, Dennis Cook, Ronald Cook; grandchildren, Malana, Mindy, Daniel, Thomas, Michael (Amber), Richard, Emily, Eric (Mandi), Cook; great grandchildren Sara, Katie, Madison, Lily Cook.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cook and brother, Robert Burger.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 12:00 P.M. Noon to 1:00 P.M. where a funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Mel Schroeder officiating. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Dear Ruth, my only cousin that I could “play” with! I was always beside myself with excitement waiting for you to arrive in Cleveland on the train from Canton. And you were so stoic about taking me along to Cedar Point on your date one time when my family was visiting Canton, inconvenient little cousin that I was.
