Trudy Lynn Bays, age 62, formally of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at the Embassy of Willard, Ohio. She was born on December 21, 1963 in Ashland, Ohio to the late J. Richard and Janet (Sharick) Ackerman.
Trudy was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Washington. She loved her animals and saving the ones that needed some extra care and love. Trudy was a volunteer at the Crawford County Humane Society for many years. She truly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her sisters, Tammi (Mark) Heefner of New Washington, Carol Perry of New London, Ohio and Betty Ray of Cambridge, Ohio; sister-in-law, Lorna Ackerman of New Washington; sister-in-law, Lavanda Stewart of Walker, LA; brother-in-law, Ray (Phyllis) Bays of Willard, Ohio; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Bays; brother, Richard Ackerman and step-son, Skyler Bays.
