Vera L. Clady, age 93, resident of New Washington, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Willows at Willard. She was born on October 24, 1924 in New Washington to the late Otto S. and Josephine (Durnwald) Heydinger and has been a resident of New Washington all of her life. She was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the St. Bernard's Altar Rosary Society, and the New Washington Gems.
She is survived by 9 children, Janet and Bob Dean of New Washington, James and Carol Clady of New Washington, Daniel and Gail Clady of New Washington, David and Karen Clady of Willard, Donna and Steve King of New Washington, Richard and Mary Ann Clady of Shelby, Douglas and Pam Clady of Tiro, Debra and Ken Krebs of New Washington and Jane Clady of Attica; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Gilbert, Glenn and Bill Heydinger all of New Washington; a sister, Inez Gray of New Washington; two sister-in-laws, Sue Heydinger of New Washington and Nellie Clady of Bucyrus.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard James Clady on July 10, 1984; her parents; 3 brothers, Harold, Allen and Donald Heydinger; two sister, Viola Karl and Bertha Karl; one infant sister; and two infant brothers.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Father George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to St. Bernards School Endowment fund. Our sympathy to the entire family in the passing of Vera. She was a very nice and sweet lady and loved by everyone. Little did we know that two weeks later after our visit God would call her home. She had a wonderful and long life on this earth but will have a new life in her eternal home in Heaven. Paul remembers how she always dreaded income tax time but I assured her it would be fine.
