She married Glenn Wallace in February 1959. Together they raised three children: James (Gale) Wallace of Wilmington, NC; Joan (Anthony) Martire and Jan (Douglas) Miller, both of Sugarcreek, Ohio.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jan L. Day, of Plymouth, Ohio; her children, James, Joan and Jan; her step-children, Brenda Bullins of Wabash, Indiana; Susan Reynolds of Seymour, Indiana; Bryan (Michelle) Day of Ashland, Ohio and Denise Day of Wheatley, Kentucky; loving siblings, Janet Sue Ryman of Plymouth, Ohio; Johnny Tackett, of Willard, Ohio; Douglas Tackett of Shelby, Ohio; Jerry Tackett of Rock Hill, South Carolina; Barbra Porter of Shelby, Ohio and Sandra Kistemaker of Norwalk, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Kayla) Miller, Sara (Edwin) Napol, Gregory (Katie) Miller, Thomas (Katie) Miller, Kyle (Rachel) Wallace, and Anthony Martire; step-grandchildren, Brandyn and Marilyn Day and Simon, Ariah, and Garrett Hankins; sweet, darling 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Glen; sisters, Earnestene Cunningham, Geraldeane Brooks, Eloise Landis, and Reta Hammond; and step-daughters, Betty Thomas, and Sandra Pierce.

The family would like to thank all doctors, nurses, and staff at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. Your gentleness and kindness to our wife, mom and granny was so appreciated during that difficult time.

I can not bring myself to believe that this beautiful little lady is gone. I would try to go see her everyday while she was at the Willows. I loved her so much. I have never met 2 people as friendly and kind as she and her husband were. I will miss you so much and it was such an honor to have met you. 💔
