Miriam Grace Kensinger, age 87, of Plymouth, OH, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 visiting the Poconos. She was born on July 20, 1935 in Crawford County, Ohio to the late Jonathan Edward and Florice Magdalene (Green) Kiess.  Miriam graduated from Plymouth High School.  At a 4-H meeting, she met the love of her life, Benjamin “Ben” Kensinger, whom she married on November 5, 1954.  Miriam worked at the Plymouth Library and was the director of the Upstairs Store in Plymouth for over 30 years.  She was a long-time member and servant of God at the Plymouth First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her cherished hobbies included canning, gardening, was an avid seamstress and had a passion for the Christmas season all year long.  She also enjoyed baking, including wedding cakes for family and friends.  Miriam loved taking trips to Amish Country, Frankenmuth and traveling all over the World.  She hosted many holiday dinners with family and friends.  Miriam was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; as well as a good sister, cousin and a good friend.

Miriam is survived by a daughter Barbara (Charlie) Clark of Mount Gilead, OH; sons, Darrin Kensinger of Martinsburg, WV and Stephen (Christy) Kensinger of Harper's Ferry, WV;  granddaughter, Taylor Clark of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Linda (Rowan) Colwell of Findlay, OH; and sister-in-law, Janice Kiess of Bucyrus, OH.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Kensinger on August 1, 2022; sisters, Marilyn Hord and Carol Grove; and brothers, Wayne Kiess and Chuck Kiess.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Plymouth First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 51 W Broadway St., Plymouth, OH 44865 where her funeral service will be Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio. On Monday, West Broadway will be closed, so the church will be accessible from Railroad Street.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
