Wanda L. Hughes, age 68, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born on September 6, 1938 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Wiley and Bessie (Nolen) Howard and has been a Plymouth resident for 40 years. Mrs. Hughes retired from MidWest Industries after 38 years of service and was a member of the Grace Valley Chapel in Shelby.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Hughes, whom she wed on September 25, 1956; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny and Dona Hughes of Shelby; Ray Hughes of Shelby; Chad Hughes of Indiana; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Debbie and Michael Berry of Shelby; Kay and Steve Evans of Lagrange, IN; Brenda Sweet of Plymouth; Sherri and Bruce Coburn of Shelby; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Howard of Willard; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Friday, August 10, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Saturday with Reverend Monty Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
