Willard D. “Red” Wagoner Sr, age 67, resident of Shiloh, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born on October 4, 1945 to the late Joseph and Sarah (Seagraves) Wagoner and raised in the loving arms of the late Johnny and Sara Wagoner. He retired from Fisher Services in Mansfield and then opened his own business, WW Exhaust. He attended the Bethel Baptist Church and was a follower of Christ. Willard cherished his family and enjoyed visiting his family in Ohio and Kentucky and always loved talking about the good ole’ days and watching old home movies. He enjoyed trading and working on cars and just tinkering around the house. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Agnes (Fields) Wagoner; children, Valentina Wagoner-Stephens and Jimmy Keene of Plymouth, Willard and Judy Wagoner of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and Joe and Kaylee Wagoner of Dayton; two grandchildren, Gretchen Wagoner of Cincinnati and Kalob Stephens of Plymouth; one great grandson, Joshua Burnett of Cincinnati; three sisters, Jewel and Winford Brown of Xenia, Ohio, Loretta and Marvin Davis of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Bonnie Feltner of Toledo; his extended family he loved dearly, Lucille Porter and Inia Boggs; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, James Dee Wagoner; sister, Esther Wagoner-McGinnis; brother, Wilbur Deck Wagoner; three infant siblings; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paris and Mary Fields; and the family who raised him, Johnny and Sara Wagoner, Lloyd “Sarge” Wagoner, and Estill “Doc” Wagoner.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Rick Pelfrey will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfunerahomes.com
