William B. Ross, age 86, resident of Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in Tiffin Mercy Hospital. He was born on August 5, 1917 to the late Herschel and Helen (Boardman) Ross and had been a life long Plymouth resident. A 1935 graduate of Plymouth High School, he enlisted in the US Navy serving as a radio technician during WWII. Mr. Ross retired as plant manager in 1983 from the former Plymouth Locomotive. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Plymouth and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He enjoyed life and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine “Lucille” (Echelbarger) Ross whom he wed September 26, 1941; one son and daughter-in-law, William Gary and Jeri Ross of Tiffin; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and Thomas Liechty of Cedarburg, WI; four grandchildren, Jason and Katy Liechty; Jamie Wright and her spouse Mark; and William Matthew Ross; one great granddaughter, Arianna Wright; one brother, Wayne Ross of Hillard, OH; one sister, Louise Einsel of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Ross.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30 AM with Reverend George Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial expressions can be made to the First Lutheran Church of Plymouth.
