Wilson C. Hill spent his life being fantastic until his passing on May 8, 2022 in Willard, Ohio. He was born in Corning, NY on January 19, 1945 to Francis and Ruby Hill where he spent his childhood getting into mild trouble.
He graduated from Painted Post High School and attended Corning Community College. He noticed Jacqueline DuVall in junior high and he followed her to New York City after graduation. While in NYC, he worked at the 1964-65 World's Fair. He carried the ID card from that World's Fair in his wallet his entire life. He married Jackie in Brooklyn, NY on June 7, 1965 and she survives.

A daughter, Kimberly (Dean) Campbell of Parma, OH, soon followed. After stops in Lockport, NY and Norwalk, OH, their theater travels led them to Willard, Ohio, where he made many decades long friends.
In Willard, they welcomed a daughter, Stacey (Bradley) Hocker of Galion, OH, and a son, Shawn (Angela) Hill of Andersonville,TN. Wilson loved his children very much and will continue to provide humorous color to their childhood stories.

Wilson and Jackie bought a farmhouse in rural Attica in 1977. He and Jackie have become like family to their neighbors over the last 45 years.

He worked at MTD Products and managed the Willard Elks Lodge, where he had many adventures, some of which were not exaggerated. Wilson loved to golf and really had a hole in one in 2010.
Wilson was a long time member of the Willard Elks Lodge #1370, where he served as exalted ruler and was instrumental in the expansion of their building. He was also a member of the Willard Moose and Clyde Eagles.
Wilson was proud of his grandchildren and would tell you they are all wonderful and smart. They are Ethan Hocker, Leah Campbell, Ellie Hocker, Michael Hill and Garret Hill. He especially loved having a great granddaughter, Willow Campbell, and was looking forward to welcoming a second, Clara Groves. In addition, he was blessed with several step grandchildren in Tennessee who also referred to him as Grandpa Wilson.
His family also includes brothers Eric (Linda) Hill of Plymouth, Ohio and Ronald (Mary) Hill of Gang Mills NY and sisters in law Phyllis (Larry) Sutton of Campbell NY, Deborah (Larry) Holmer of Fremont, OH, and Freda (the late Donald) DuVall of Cameron Mills, NY.Wilson is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who all loved their Uncle Willie, many great friends, including Ron Stang, Phyllis and Bill Schrader, Bev and George Adams, and few strangers.

In addition to his parents and an infant son, he was preceeded in death by his brother Winston Hill, step granddaughter Jordan Turner and his great friend Melvin Aichholz.
We assume Wilson and Ike are fishing and he will yell for Jackie when he needs her.

Calling hours will be Friday, May 13, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio and where the funeral service will be Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Barbara Letterly officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Elks National Foundation, or like Wilson often did, by helping someone who needs it. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

Jackie and family, I was so sad to hear of Wilson's passing. I have many fond memories of our trips to Elks rituals and Wilson driving us in his van. I still smile of those trips and always will. I hope his memories will comfort you as well.

Growing up, Wilson scared me because he was so tall, handsome, and seemingly formidable. He was my first real boss after high school. He created many opportunities for me to learn, laugh, and grow. I remember how he used to walk through the Shelby warehouse deep in thought. Eventually, I realized that Wilson was one of the smartest men I have ever met. He was a life mentor and like an uncle to me. His support, insight, and humor will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go to the entire Hill clan.

Jackie and family, We are so sad to hear of your loss. Wilson was my first supervisor at Midwest in 1971. He at some point talked me into working in the Parts Dept. with him. That was the best decision ever made for me at work. I, also, worked with Jackie, Ron, and Eric during my 41 1/2 years with MTD. Great friends with each, so many good memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Wilson was so fun to be around and the unexpected was the expected. Known as the local instigator in high school he continued a more mature version of that self until his passing. He will be missed by family and friends alike!

To my Hill family, don't know what to say but I love you all. Mr Wilson was my bonus Dad, I loved him with all I had and Dad loved him like a brother. Dad always worried about him, although he wouldn't admit it, but he told me many times. He was always smiling and always put a smile on my face. I guess Ol Poop thought it was time to bring Mr Wilson home so he can really take care of him now. Lord help those angels up there. My heart is broken. Love you all.
