Winona Sue Rogers, age 79, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2019, at the Willows at Willard. She was born on August 5, 1940, in Morgan County, Kentucky, to the late Martin Lewis and Vaneda (Gullett) Gallo.
Winona retired from MTD as an assembler in 1994. She was a member of the Willard United Baptist Church. Winona enjoyed being around her family and cooking; there were always Sunday gatherings with her home cooked meals. She also liked reading, crocheting, and planting flowers.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Richard Rogers, whom she married on August 18, 1956; four sons, Greg A. Rogers of California, Richard Lee Rogers of Greenwich, Ohio, Robert Scott Rogers of Willard, Ohio and Mark Rogers of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren with one on the way; and a half-sister, Joann Reed of Willard, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Hershell, and Leon Lewis; half-sister, Norma Kennard; and a half-brother, Eldon Lewis.
Family and friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Winona's funeral service will be on Friday, September 20, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at Secor Funeral Home in Willard with Pastor Danny Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Centerton Cemetery.
