Michael R. Montgomery, age 50, of Henry Road, Plymouth, passed away Sat., June 12, 2004 at the MedCentral Hospital in Shelby, following a 2 1/2 year illness. He was born June 23, 1953 in Marion and has lived most of his life in the Plymouth area. He had worked as a parts salesman for Heisler’s Trucking in Willard and also an excavator for Montgomery Son’s Excavating.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Rodman) Montgomery, who he married May 19, 1973; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew R. & Sarah Montgomery of Plymouth; daughter, Michelle L. Montgomery of Plymouth; mother, Phyllis M. (Wheeler) Montgomery of Plymouth; 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry A. & Rhonda Montgomery of Willard, Carl D. Montgomery of Plymouth, Randall L. & Mun Montgomery of Raleigh, N.C., Ronald L. & Patty of Raleigh, N.C. and David J. Montgomery of Plymouth; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Josephine A. Karl of New Washington and Judith A. & Allen Karl of Tiro; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his father, Carl E. Montgomery and a nephew, Richard Montgomery.
Visitation will be Wed. from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Rick Lewis officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
