Arnold C. “George” Haymond, age 74, resident of Shiloh, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at his home. He was born on February 20, 1933 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to the late Henry and Icie (Waugh) Haymond and had been a Shiloh resident for 37 years. Mr. Haymond was a painting contractor and a veteran of the US Army serving during peacetime. He attended the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vanda (Beverly) Haymond; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony and Ronnie Haymond both of Shiloh; Jamie and Karen Brown of Shelby; six daughters and two sons-in-law, Valerie and Chuck Tuttle of Columbus; Sandy and Joe Gibson of Willard; Debbie, Tina, Sherry and Lynny; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Buck Haymond of Bellville; one sister, Eloise Taylor of Galion.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Shepherd; two sisters, Armalean Ginns and Gearldine Morris.
Friends may call at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church on Henry Road in Plymouth, Ohio on Monday, May 7, 2007 form 5:00 to 9:00 PM, and on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 from Noon to 9:00 PM where a service will be held at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the church on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Elders Joe Gibson, Phillip Beverly, Hargis Tuttle and Lon Beverly officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the family. Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
