Bernard Hiler, age 88, resident of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007 in Fairhaven Community Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on Jan. 11, 1919 in New Washington, Ohio to the late William and Catherine (Dick) Hiler. He was a member of the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington. He was the owner of Hiler’s Sales and Service in New Washigton.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Hiler of Attica; one daughter, Sue Summers of Bloomville; 4 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and 4 sisters.
He is preceded in death by wife, LaVina Hiler on November 21, 2006; his parents and one sister.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Monday, October 8, 2007 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington with Father Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Ohio. Memorial expressions may be made to Fairhaven Community Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
