Crit Witherspoon, age 75, resident of Willard, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on June 24, 1929 in Washington, Arkansas, and had been a resident of Willard most of his life. He was a laborer for B&O Railroad starting in 1952.
He is survived by three sons, Curtis Witherspoon of South Bend, IN, Crit Witherspoon Jr. of South Bend, IN, and Tim Witherspoon of Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Tracy Garmon of Columbus, OH and Tina Evans of San Angelo, TX; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlene Moore and Ruthie Mae Witherspoon both of Washington, AR; his first wife, Hazel Witherspoon and his second wife, Frances M. Witherspoon. He is preceded in death by two sons, Christopher Howard and Steve Witherspoon; his parents, Simon and Dora (Porter) Witherspoon; four brothers, Grover, JT, Roy and Hosie Witherspoon; and one sister, Odeaster Stuard.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Saturday from noon until 2:00 PM, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Douglas Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio.
