Dale "Buck" Eugene Keesy, age 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his lifelong home in Shiloh after a long illness on January 29, 2019.

He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion and served in the US Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He was a policeman for the Village of Shiloh from 1975 until 1977 during which time he was also a member of the Shiloh Fire Department for 20 years. He also worked at and retired from RR Donnelley.

Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, plowing snow with his wheel horse tractor, and watching sports, especially the Cleveland Indians.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Mary "Rita" Hicks Keesy; parents, Dwight and Gladys Keesy; and a sister, Mary Keesy.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Jess) Carey of Shelby; son, Roger Keesy of Attica; five grandchildren, Chad, Michael and Shannon Hall, and Kyle and Kasey Keesy; eight great grandchildren; and sister, Carol Keesy McMillion of Willard.

Family and friends may gather on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial contributions can be made to OhioHealth Hospice as they were a blessing to Dale's family.
